Hope4Malawi Mission Trip
Posted on: 25/02/2025Two students within the sixth form, have been given the amazing opportunity to volunteer in Malawi, alongside 7 other people at their local Church, just after their A Levels. They will be able to participate in organisation, volunteering activities such as working with the local Malawians to teach young children within the primary & secondary schools, running holiday clubs & aiding in the farming and building of stoves.
They also get the opportunity to help in the skills centre to provide students with the vital skills needed for work.
Students have created an Instagram account (@2025_H4M) to document their journey before and during the trip. Collectively, students have chosen specific projects they want to direct their fundraising towards as a group. These include: building and kitting out a chicken coop, providing 200 young girls with washable sanitary pads, planting 200 trees, funding 4 children for a year on the development program and a further 45 for a year on the feeding program. However, individually they need to fundraise £200 which will go towards individual project costs. Over the next few weeks, students will be organising bake sales next to the Reception to help with fundraising and raising awareness.
