Talaxy

Access Talaxy

Blenheim uses Talaxy to strengthen communication between home and school. Through the platform, parents are able to receive updates relating to attendance, achievements, incidents, sanctions, academic reports and absences along with making Parents' Evenings bookings.

Every parent with an email address is offered access to Talaxy. Full details of how Talaxy works is provided in an account activation email that is received shortly after students start at Blenheim.

Within the school, Talaxy will support students in managing their organisation and keeping up to date with timetables, reports, examinations, achievements and sanctions.

Parents’ Evening appointments are available to book by the person who was nominated as first contact.

If parents have more than one child at the school, all children are accessed via a single account. To switch between children, click on the child’s name displayed on the black menu bar at the top of the screen. Other children will then be presented.

ParentPay

Blenheim has a convenient online way to pay for school meals and trips, using a secure service called ParentPay. Parents have a secure online account, activated using a unique username and password provided by the school; Parents will be prompted to change these and keep them safe and secure. Accounts can be merged to create one login for all students of the same family.

ParentPay holds a payment history that can be viewed anytime and no card details are stored in any part of the system. Once the account has been activated, online payments can be made straight away. Under normal circumstances, payments made through ParentPay are credited to a student’s cashless catering account in under one hour.

Once a student has joined Blenheim, they will be provided with a personal activation letter. Any difficulties activating an account, should be reported to finance at finance@blenheim.surrey.sch.uk. ParentPay offers the freedom to make payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in a secure way.

FAQs

When can I log in to my account?

Once parents have received an activation letter from school with activation login details they can activate their account and start making payments.

Which cards can I use?

ParentPay accepts Maestro, Switch, Delta, Electron, Solo and Visa debit cards. Regrettably, Blenheim are unable to accept payments from credit cards due to the high charges made by credit card companies.

Is it safe to make payments on the internet?

Yes. ParentPay uses leading technology to process card transactions securely. All communications with the bank are encrypted and neither ParentPay nor the school have access to card details.

How can I check that ParentPay is secure?

Standard website addresses begin with http and the address for a secure site will always begin with https. There will also be a padlock at the bottom/top right of the screen on the login page and once the account has been logged into. Parents/Carers should never enter card details or personal data on any web page where the address does not start https.

What about our personal information?

ParentPay holds a very limited amount of information solely for the purpose of accounts administration. Blenheim operates under strict guidelines set out by the Data Protection Act 1998. ParentPay will NEVER contact Parents by phone, email or mail and ask for confidential information like passwords or card numbers. Any contact regarding such information should be reported to reception at reception@blenheim.surrey.sch.uk.

Printing/Copying account

There are seven large devices around the school which allows students to print, copy and scan to their school email account. These devices have a scanner attached which uses students’ biometric fingerprint. The school adds money to printing/copying accounts every year. In Year 7, £1 is added in September, £2 in January and a final £1 in April. In Years 8-13, £2 will be added in September and a further £2 in January. Parents/carers are able to top up this account on Parentpay if necessary. The minimum amount is £10 but if there is any balance left at the end of the school year, it will be carried forward to the following year.

Parental Complaints

We are always keen to work with parents to support students. If, however, you are unhappy with any aspect of students' education or welfare, we hope in the first instance you will contact your child's Form Tutor.

If the Form Tutor cannot rectify the problem, you may be referred to another member of staff for help.  We take all concerns very seriously but should you feel you wish to take the matter further, please refer to our Complaints Policy.
