Blenheim 3 v 5 The Beacon 

Our year 8 boys hosted The Beacon on the wonderful 3G pitch, which the boys were particularly excited about. After an incredibly quick start from Blenheim, a crafty through ball after just 3minutes put Elijah though on goal, a great finish in a tricky 1v1 situation with the goalkeeper put Blenheim 1-0 up very early on. Following the goal, The Beacon started to get into the game and keep good possession of the ball. A lovely cross by the opposing right midfielder was put on a plate for their striker for an easy tap in, levelling the score at 1-1. The remainder of the half was very back and forth with both teams displaying some great attacking play. Minutes before half time, another great lofted ball put Elijah through once again, this was dealt with spectacularly by the Blenheim striker who successfully managed to half volley chip the ball over the opposition goalkeeper giving Blenheim the lead once again, 2-1 Blenheim going into half time.
