On Wednesday, the Year 9 GCSE Music class joined students from all over London and the Home
Counties, to hear a performance by the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall.
The engaging performance featured set works from the different GCSE exam syllabi as well as
pupil participation through quizzes. A highlight of the trip was the performance of J.S. Bach's
'Badinerie' which the students will be studying over the next two years. Another highlight was the
film music section as well as the 'singing' elevator! We are looking forward to next month's trip to
see 'Wicked'.
