CHELSEA FC BLENHEIM 0 - 4 LEVEL 7 ACADEMY

Chelsea FC Blenheim Academy hosted champions Level 7 Academy in the National Football Youth league this week.

It was a tough game on paper and this proved to be the case on the manicured academy pitch as Chelsea FC Blenheim started on the back foot and found themselves behind after 23 minutes. For the remainder of the half chances were created at either end as both teams recognised that the next goal was crucial.

Half time and 1-0 down. More was needed in the second half if Chelsea FC Blenheim were to salvage something from this game.

The second half started evenly and it wasn’t until the 73rd minute that Level 7 took one of several chances and took the game to 2-0. Ten minutes later, chasing the game, Level 7 had found the net twice more to take the game beyond Chelsea FC Blenheim. The score line was perhaps not a fair reflection of the game but at this level being clinical in front of goal is necessary.

Work to be done as the Academy travel to high flying AFC Sudbury next week.
