Good Luck to ex-student Nick Gleeson in the Winter Olympics!
Posted on: 16/01/2022Nick left Blenheim in 2013 and went straight into the army. He was ‘dragged into’ bobsleigh in 2015 simply due to his height! He has performed in many a successful competition winning a total of 12 medals in his career so far. Nicks credentials include
- 5 competitive seasons for GB Bobsleigh
- 2018 Winter Olympian, GB
- Bobsleigh Youngest Ever Olympian (21 years old)
- 6x North America Cup medals
- 4th in the 2019 World Championships
- 5x World cup Medals
Nick is currently competing in the World Cup in St Moritz and hoping to gain medals over the coming days. Nick and the bobsleigh team will be flying out to Beijing for the Winter Olympics at the end of January and are keeping everything crossed in the hope for 2 Olympic medals.
Nick was a strong athlete when he was at Blenheim. A GCSE PE student that performed in most of the sports teams and still holds 4x school athletics field event records!
We wish Nick all of the luck and success in his future competitions! We’re extremely proud of him!
