Year 7 House Benchball Tournament
Posted on: 14/01/2022The sports hall was filled with enthusiastic year 7 students ready to compete for their house. They had to first calmly sit waiting for the rules of the tournament, to be made clear.
The teams were ready poised in their positions waiting for the whistle to go so they could sprint for the ball. On court 1 it was Nashwan v Octavius and on court 2 Tulyar v Sinndar. Sinndar made the whistle go as they marginally beat Tulyar by just getting the last person on the bench. On court 1 Octavius beat Nashwan by getting 5 people on the bench compared to Nashwan’s 2.
The spirit and enthusiasm grew moving into Round 2. On court 1 it was Nashwan v Sinndar and on court 2 Tulyar v Octavius. Octavius made the whistle go as they marginally beat Tulyar by just getting the last person on the bench. On court 1 Sinndar beat Nashwan by getting 5 people on the bench compared to Nashwan’s 4.
It was all to play with Court 1 accommodating the most important game of the tournament. It was the deciding match. On court 1 it was Sinndar v Octavius and on court 2 Tulyar v Nashwan. Octavious made the whistle go as they marginally beat Sinndar by just getting the last person on the bench. On court 2 it was a draw between Nashwan and Tulyar.
All of the participants had great fun and enjoyed the tournament.
