At the end of the spring term, Assistant Headteacher, Head of Sixth Form, Mr Duffy, and myself interviewed 25 candidates from Year 12 to become members of the Student Leadership Team. The candidate field was strong and choosing eight students was enormously difficult. 

I am delighted to announce that Oliver and Rosie will be Blenheim’s Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. The Student Leadership Team will also consist of Olivia, Robbie, Katie, Tom, Leia and Joe who have been appointed as Deputy Head Boys and Girls. 

Each member of the Student Leadership Team will have their own area of responsibility and will be challenged to demonstrate impact in their area, hopefully leaving a legacy that helps future generations of students. Areas currently under discussion include Year 11 to Year 12 transition, STEM, student inclusion, the high performers programme, Sixth Form sport, charity, student voice and peer to peer support. 

Mr Duffy and myself are looking forward to working with the Student Leadership Team in the coming months and reporting on their progress back to our community.
