Year 7

The first game fixtures were Nashwan taking on Octavius whilst Sinndar took on Tulyar. Nashwan and Octavius played out a well contested 0-0 draw. Sinndar and Tulyar were evenly matched with both side shaving opportunities to secure points, but not being accurate enough. Eventually, Tulyar secured a point which allowed them to win the game 1-0. After the first round of fixtures Tulyar were first with Octavius and Nashwan joint second and Sinndar in third.

The second set of fixtures saw Nashwan take on Sinndar and Tulyar against Octavius. Sinndar knew that to have any chance of staying in the running for the overall winners they would have to win their game against Nashwan who had already picked up one point. Sinndar managed to pull through and secured a score and therefore 3 points for a win. Octavius versus Tulyar; both houses were able to secure a score each, but were not able to secure an additional score that would allow them the win. This game finished 1-1. After two games Tulyar were first, Octavius were second, Sinndar third and Nashwan fourth.

The last set of fixtures saw Nashwan against Tulyar and Sinndar versus Octavius. Tulyar knew that all they needed to do was to match Octavius’s to win the tournament and Octavius needed to win in their match and hope that Tulyar would lose against Nashwan. Octavius knowing this threw all caution to wind and looked to secure the win. Octavius were able to secure a point and manage to secure the win. Tulyar knew that a win would see them crowned as House winners. In a close affair Tulyar were able to secure the win that saw them be declared as winners. Year 8

The first game fixtures were Nashwan taking on Octavius whilst Sinndar took on Tulyar. Nashwan started against Octavius very well with a number of quick passes undoing the Octavius defensive line. Eventually this paid off with Nashwan securing the first points of the game. Octavius started to come out and try to match Nashwan with some good passing of their own, however Octavius were once again overwhelmed by Nashwan’s play and conceded once again, the game finishing 2-0 to Nashwan. In the other game Tulyar were able to successfully overcome Sinndar by the same score line. This meant after one round Nashwan and Tulyar were joint first with Sinndar and Octavius both in joint second.

The second set of fixtures saw Nashwan take on Sinndar and Tulyar against Octavius. Sinndar knew that they had to get at least a draw against Nashwan to have any hope of achieving a first-place finish. In game that went end to end Nashwan were unable to secure any goals and Sinndar were able to hand on for a draw finishing 0-0. Tulyar on the other hand knew that a win against Octavius would see them into first place with 6 points. Tulyar knowing this information came out of the starting blocks quickly and were on the front foot from the get go. Octavius though continued to play well and defend well against a Tulyar side that were moving the ball well, but not able to secure a score. Eventually, a foul against Octavius saw Tulyar secure an opportunity to score a point. They took this and were able to see the game out 1-0. After the second set of fixtures Tulyar were on 6 points, Nashwan on 4 points, Sinndar on 1 point and Octavius on 0 points.

The last set of fixtures saw Nashwan against Tulyar and Sinndar versus Octavius. Tulyar knew that only a draw was enough to secure the overall winners whilst Nashwan had to beat Tulyar in order to win overall. The game started cagey with both teams knowing that a loss would stop their chances of winning. Tulyar were able to secure the first score though Nashwan were able to equalise straight away. The game then went from end to end with both teams searching for the winning score. Tulyar though were able to successful score another pointy which put them 2-1 up and securing the win and the overall win. In the other game, Octavius were able to secure their first points of the tournament with a well fought 1-0 over Sinndar. The final standings were Tulyar 1st 9 points, Nashwan 2nd 4 points, Octavius 3rd 3 points and Sinndar 4th 1point.
