Year 10 started well with Kyren winning the tip off and getting the ball to Will to dribble up the court. Great passing to Sam who used his confidence and control on the ball to draw the defenders in creating space for Ethan to run into and score a basket. Three Rivers were strong in defence and Blenheim worked hard to find a space through into the key. Some good passing and moving from Ethan and Will kept the ball alive the team fought hard to maintain possession. Blenheim's defence was tested through the match with excellent blocking from Kyren and David. The team took on board feedback well and went into the second quarter more alive and determined to capitalise on their shots. Ethan showed great speed and agility driving into the basket to score a layup which gave the team a boost of confidence. Sam and Ethan both score their free throws to bring the scores level. Rian’s passing was strong and direct and helped the spread the play across the court. The scores were level going into the third quarter so it was all to play for. Three Rivers showed their dominance by scoring a lot of baskets in quick succession however Blenheim showed steadfast determination and did not give up. Ethan showed excellent athleticism and was scoring at one end and getting the rebounds at the other. Sam showed great leadership and drive to keep up the offence until the very end scoring the last two points of the game. Well done. Final score 46- 28 to Three Rivers.
