NORTH SURREY SCHOOLS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

MVP - Atticus and Ellis

Congratulations to the Year 9 Boys' Basketball Team who achieved 2nd place in the North Surrey Schools Basketball Tournament. Well done boys! The team played with high spirits, energy and determination across all five matches with some very close results. The team made a great impression from the start and worked fantastically as a team. The team listened well and applied their feedback to improve in each match. Ellis was formidable under the basket showing excellent defensive technique thwarting the oppositions offensive play. He owned each rebound and made great decisions in passing out and up the court to the centre. Charlie used his experience to slow the pace of the game and encouraged the team back into their positions before dribbling up the court and attacking the basket. Kobi showed determination in his tactical play and held his position well. Zac showed great athleticism in both defence and offensive plays linking up with Ellis driving the ball to offence. Atticus injected the pace that was needed to increase the level of intensity and showed great agility in dribbling and driving towards the basket and scoring lay ups and free throws. Baron showed great skill and determination in attacking the basket scoring some fantastic baskets. Dylan made his debut on the court and put all of his practice into play throughout the tournament. He showed his defensive skills by performing half court man to man defence. Dylan made many shots and played an excellent tournament.
