Blenheim High School students buck the trend and celebrate the best set of A level and BTEC results yet
Posted on: 18/08/2022There are celebrations at Blenheim High School on the first Results Day based on public exams since 2019. In spite of the warning this morning from the Education Secretary that results are down on pre-pandemic levels, Blenheim students have attained higher grades than in any other public exam year with 23% of students attaining an A*-A, 54% an A*-B and 79% an A*-C.
Amongst the successes are Tom T who achieved 4 A* and is off to study Chemistry at Oxford, Rosie H and Niall L who both attained 3 A*, Lara S, one of Blenheim’s Chelsea Foundation Academy students, who achieved 2 A* and 1 A and is off to study History and English Literature at Edinburgh, Katie B who got 2 A* and an A and will study Sociology and Politics at Bath, Alicia P who achieved an A*, A and B and will study Biochemistry at Bristol. Congratulations also to Holly M, Dan C, Marco V, Emily N, Jay C, Afonso P, Olivia L, Katie D, Rosie A, Bleu T and Joe S on their brilliant results as well as their progress over the two years of study.
Tony Bodell, Headteacher at Blenheim High School says “This year’s A level results are outstanding and a credit to the students and staff here who have worked tirelessly over many years. This cohort of students have not experienced a ‘normal’ results day and so for them to have achieved such incredible results is a well-deserved and special occasion. We are very proud of the way our students have handled the last two years and are delighted to see them going on to such a variety of further studies and career. I’d like to say a huge well done to all our Sixth Form students and staff and thank all parents for their support.”
