LEVEL 7 1-2 CHELSEA FC BLENHEIM

Chelsea FC Blenheim travelled to reigning National Football Youth League champions Level 7 in good spirits after a six game unbeaten run in the league.

The game started positively with Chelsea FC Blenheim having the majority of possession, moving the ball around midfield to create space to develop attacks. Level 7 posed a constant threat with an athletic and well organised side who did not lack ability themselves. Chances were created and it was Chelsea FC Blenheim who were in the ascendency with Amelia displaying some great football to open the scoring midway through the first half. The goal was well deserved and, at half time, Chelsea FC Blenheim were in a great position to secure a big win.

The second half started as the first had ended and the pressure began to tell on Level 7, with Chelsea FC Blenheim always looking the more dangerous side. With that said, Level 7 created chances and some fine work from Lara in goal kept Blenheim in the lead. However, with 30 minutes left Sasha rose highest at a corner to give Chelsea FC Blenheim a 2-0 lead.

This inevitably sparked Level 7 into life, Chelsea FC Blenheim stood strong and managed the game superbly. Level 7 did score a consolation goal with 30 seconds left but it was Chelsea FC Blenheim who secured a well-deserved three points and carried on their ascent up the league table.
