It was a return to winning ways as the Chelsea FC Blenheim Academy squad travelled to Essex to take on USP Storm in the ever competitive National Football Youth League. With only 1 point separating the teams before kick off it was an exciting afternoon of football lay ahead.
Chelsea FC Blenheim started brightly and with purpose and were 1-0 up four minutes into the game after a confident finish from Kori. Seven minutes later it was 2-0 with centre back Leia scoring her second goal for the school in seven years with an accomplished volley. After 18 minutes it was another goal from a corner taken by Amelia with Kori hitting the back of the net. USP did pull a goal back but within one minute Chelsea FC Blenheim had reinstated their three goal lead with a well worked team goal finished by Megan. 4-1 to Chelsea FC Blenheim at half time.
The second half saw some great football and a number of goals. After Blenheim initially scored, USP Storm pulled two goals back but Player of the Match, Kori, ensured that Chelsea FC Blenheim were convincing 7-3 winners
Chelsea FC Blenheim face Arsenal next week in the last game before the Christmas break.

Esher College |
The Chelsea FC Blenheim Development Team hosted Esher College in the last game of the English Schools’ Super League this week. Having lost the first game to Barking Abbey, this was a must win to finish second in the group.
The girls did not disappoint with Dulcie opening the scoring and Millie adding 2 more as the girls took a deserved 3-0 lead into half time.
The second half repeated the first, with Chelsea FC Blenheim controlling the game, attacking in waves and absorbing pressure when needed. Cattia scored twice to complete the Blenheim scoring, with Esher scoring a consolation goal. A deserved 5-1 victory.
Chelsea FC Blenheim Development Team will finish the calendar year against Chelsea FC Mount Kelley in the Foundation Cup next week.
