The first day of half term saw the Year 8 and 9 girls’ football team play a delayed first round National Cup fixture against St Angela’s Ursuline school with this team having aspirations to win the National Cup. 

Ava scored after just 1 minute and by half time the girls had scored 9 goals. 

The second half mirrored the first, as the girls looked to chase down the school record of 18 goals in a National Cup fixture. They were successful, resulting in a win of 22-0. Goals from Zoe, Ava, Aisha, Florence (2), Hannah, Charlotte (2), Holly (3) and Brooke (2). A comprehensive but sporting contest, with both sets of players happy to play after a year with no schools football.
