This week, the Physical Education department took 24 Year 11 GCSE PE students to High Ashurst to complete a rock climbing course as part of the GCSE assessment. Students learnt a range of skills including rope management, abseiling, belaying with different devices and climbing using a range of techniques. Students showed resilience, persistence and a growth mindset, over two extremely wet and windy days. The trip was a huge success and will have a positive impact on students’ overall GCSE grades.
