On Tuesday and Thursday, the Good Lads Initiative visited Blenheim to work with boys in Years 8, 9 and 10 as part of Blenheim’s push to improve the attainment of boys; a national issue which Blenheim continues to prioritise.

The Good Lads company works in promoting positive masculinity by delivering evidence based, pragmatic and relatable interventions in schools as well as the work place. The company aim to challenge some of the pre-existing notions of masculinity and gender stereotypes and work with boys to create a more positive gender identity.

During the two days, students spent time with a mentor and a variety of activities were undertaken to engage the boys. A presentation was delivered to parents and carers of boys on Tuesday evening by representatives of Good Lads.
