Year 9 students provide Harlequins Guard of Honour
Posted on: 02/04/2019Last Saturday morning, Sutton & Epsom Rugby Club including four of our Year 9 students, Chloe, Rosie, Lyra and Maria, took part in The Game Changer, a girls' rugby festival and coaching clinic.
In the afternoon, Harlequins Ladies took on Gloucester Hartpury in the final round of the 2018/19 Tyrrells Premier 15s and the Sutton & Epsom players were chosen to be the Guard of Honour, welcoming the Harlequins Ladies rugby team onto the pitch at The Stoop.
The Game Changer set a UK attendance record for a women’s club rugby match as more than 4,700 supporters descended on the Home of Harlequins to witness Quins gain victory over Gloucester Hartpury.
What an amazing experience for our girls!
