ESFA U14 Girls’ Cup

Blenheim High School 5 v 3 Bromley High School

The Year 9 girls got their National Cup campaign off to a fantastic start, securing an impressive 5– 3 victory against Bromley High School in a thrilling and action-packed match. The game did not start as the girls had hoped, as they found themselves 2–0 down early on. However, rather than letting the scoreline affect their confidence, team Blenheim showed fantastic resilience and determination. They continued to work hard, support one another and look for opportunities to get back into the game. Their hard work soon paid off when Alma produced an excellent strike from a free kick, giving the girls a goal they deserved. The goal lifted the team's confidence and completely changed the momentum of the match. From there, the girls began to take control of the game. Milana was instrumental in the comeback, scoring two excellent goals to further extend the team's lead and put them in a strong position. The attacking pressure continued, with Lois and Eva also finding the back of the net to complete a fantastic five-goal performance. Despite conceding three goals, the girls remained composed and continued to battle until the final whistle. Their ability to come back from 2–0 down to win 5–3 demonstrated not only their footballing ability but also their fantastic team spirit and determination. Congratulations to the whole Year 9 girls' football team on a fantastic result.
